Education;  BSBA in Business Administration -East Carolina University, USA

I’ve launched six businesses, with eleven business partners, over the last thirty years.   My entrepreneurial journey began in the real estate industry.  After selling residential properties for several years, I launched the first of several companies specialized in relocation, property management, buying investment properties and due diligence services for investors.  Obtaining my mortgage licence, I originated residential loans, later moving into commercial finance intermediary services.   I found my calling working with business owners and began consulting on a wide variety of projects.  Engagements have included business model design, strategic planning, building pricing models, performance management program design and facilitations.   I discovered  a graveyard of improvement and change management initiatives.   Most caused short term improvements, at best, and some did more harm than good including my own.

I crossed paths with my mentor; Gene Morton, an Organizational Psychologist in 2015.  He’d spent four decades working with leader teams in M&A, reorgs and restructures.  In the course of overseeing 100+ projects, he developed a practical process that enables senior leaders to quickly break out of traditional siloed structures and organize themselves as a collaborative multifunctional team of teams.  His leadership system is fast, simple and practical, but not easy.   He is Author of  Leaders First: Six Bold Steps to Sustain Breakthroughs in Construction; an award winning story describing the journey of a construction company transforming their leader structure using the Leadership System.

I’ve continued to learn, augment with complimentary processes, and adapt the core leadership system to improve the client experience and support organizational integration.  Enabling technology adoption is core to the survival and success of companies.

Understanding the depth of change leaders and organizations must make to fully embrace the digital age, I’ve pursued education and training in these areas at eCom babes LinkedIn.

As a Red Hat Partner, I’m connected to a vast network of solutions, service providers, training and resources.  That said, I am solution agnostic and seek to help clients determine the criteria to make decisions based on their own needs.

Why am I involved with Architectural Thinking?

Having an in depth understanding across many industries and engaged with multiple disciplines, I recognize the need for standards that enable a network of collaborative experts and service providers to support companies as they embark on their “digital transformation journey” and make decisions to invest in technology.
